Too often in my tenure as leader of the council Ive had , shall we say differences of opinion with our MP. I also recognise that again some people may feel left behind in this budget. However from a District Leader point of view I have to say I agree with him on this, The Levelling up fund for the Forest is potentially massive. we need to promote the right projects , (which we feel we have) get the bid correct and secure the funding . We will do this by The MP , My cabinet and myself and ALL councillors of ALL groups and of ALL Towns and villages working together and making sure any money is spent well and for the benefit of the people of the district. We will begin work on this today and I look forward to working with the MP to secure real funding for our regeneration projects here in the Forest. We have plenty of opportunity to butt heads and get down in the dirt. Now is the time for working together and working hard .
