The right wing and the politicians that represent them like Tice and Farage don’t like paying taxes. They don’t see why their cash should go into a collective pot to help other people. People like Tice and Farage will use the word subsidise a lot.
I don’t know if you noticed how during shortages this week fuel prices have soared. Lower Lane I think had Diesel at 143p per litre yesterday, It was 136 just a while ago. Supply and demand rules I suppose
There was a lot to be said for breaking away from Europe, It has however been so mismanaged it’s only the likes of Tice, Farage and the presenters on GB News that are benefitting and even they have spent the last week trying to tell everyone how the fuel and the HGV driver shortage is everyone else’s fault and not a direct result of Brexit,
If Its not a migrant worker issue how come the government want to make it easier for migrants to come and do the jobs. Oh only up to Christmas eve then they can sod off. There’s no fuel shortage according to the Government but we are bringing the army in. Sorry but Dvla failings accepted, we told Europe we didn’t want them over here doing our jobs, they left and now we have a workforce shortage issue. Its not difficult to see why.
There are actually jobs aplenty apparently and no one to fill them? Odd that isn’t it ? or do these right wing elite want the very poor, the lower class , those that have the temerity to have to claim any sort of benefits to be forced to take these low paid jobs that were once the jobs of migrant workers ? Save them being deducted all that corporate, inheritance and personal tax and it going to welfare and benefits, right?
Are these jobs now being advertised at much higher wages in order to entice Uk workers to apply as promised? Umm no because the employers can’t afford it
And as Europe wets themselves laughing at us, and our pathetic request for them to come back and bail us out, our hospitality industry, our farmers our care providers, cant secure enough people, shelves have things missing and anyone need something delivered from abroad is facing huge delays.
Drivers on the seem of it may be the tip of the Ticeberg.
And if there are shortages of other goods and prices and inflation go happen to go up? Well, its ok as Mr Tice and his mates will be able to afford the higher prices and it’s a question of supply and demand, right?
I voted remain but have never fallen out with anyone who wanted to leave. I understood the issues that made them feel that way and could see why so many felt the same. But leaving in the manner we did was always going to leave a void and serious issues, as we are beginning to experience.
I'm not going to be nasty about those two gentlemen as that's not the way I do things these days but for the likes of Farage and Tice to now distance themselves and Brexit from these issues says much about them Im afraid. They are gentlemen simply a consequence of what you promoted and wanted. explain that and then explain how things will get better.
As with all things , the British Public has had to allow politicians to decide our future and that’s when things tend to go wrong.
