10. Everytime that you walk in the room ( The Searchers ) I have no idea why this is on my list, just always loved it.
9 . Arms of Mary (Sutherland bros and Quiver ). Its early to mid 70s in the summer and Im 7 or so , whats not to like? What times summertime special on ?
8. Your my best friend ( Don Williams ) Just reminds me of my Dad and is relevant with my better half today. Im 50 years old and this can still get me all soppy
7. Silver lady (David Soul) an odd choice but again just reminds me of Dad and being a lad.
6 Love really hurts without you ( Billy Ocean) if the colts rugby team I played in had a theme tune, this would have been it.Used to love strutting back into the rugby club on disco nights and this would be played, Great times with some great lads.
5. Last Christmas (Wham!.). simply the best Christmas song ever, end of and no argument.And yes I did give someone my heart only for them to give it away …
4 Come Undone (Duran Duran) Was never a le Bon fan really and this wasn't one of their massive hits but I think its brilliant
3, I heard it through the grapevine ( Marvin Gaye) sounds as good today as ever, and in the 80s when this was re released it was so cool !!
2 Careless whisper ( George Michael ) Got to have a George in here and he was what 15 when he wrote this? It was the sound of a summer.
1.St Elmos Fire (John Parr) an anthem of the 80s of which I am clearly stuck and never to leave. Good I liked it there….
